My client, a leading player in the defense sector, as a Manufacturing Automation APQP Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our manufacturing processes through the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles and cutting-edge automation technologies. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality defense products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
APQP Leadership:
- Lead the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies across the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish clear project milestones and deliverables.
Manufacturing Automation:
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Design and integrate automation systems to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement robust quality control processes in collaboration with quality assurance teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to ensure the highest level of product quality.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with RandD and engineering teams to implement innovative solutions for process optimization.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant defense industry standards and regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and integrate best practices into manufacturing operations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to align manufacturing processes with product specifications.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure project success.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of APQP processes, automation solutions, and quality control measures.
- Generate regular reports on project progress, key performance indicators, and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- SC Clearance / if you dont have this already then the client will provide this
- Proven experience in implementing APQP methodologies in manufacturing, preferably in the defense sector.
- In-depth knowledge of automation technologies and their application in manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
